Awakening the Spine” Yoga: A light power/precision class drawing on the Vanda Scaravelli method of extension and release into the asana by utilizing gravity and spontaneous antiforce (newtons Law) to discover the extension of the spine and the rest of the body. A dynamic flow of Hatha Yoga (includes deep stretching, strength building poses may include inversions and more) Vinyasa is used as a noun to describe the series of poses that are done between poses as part of a Sun Salutation sequence Light Power Yoga: Similar to Power Yoga without the inversions and more vinyasa flows. Yin Yoga: Unique yoga practice…Explore relaxed long held floor postures, stretching the fascia, which gently stretch and rehabilitate the connective tissues that form our joints by relaxing the muscles behind the tissue. Ashtanga Yoga: This method of Yoga involves synchronizing the breath with progressive series of postures—process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. Focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and strengthen the deep torso muscles, which are important to help alleviate and prevent back pain.
