A San Francisco Bay Area native, Gillian has lived on Cape Cod for 15 years with her husband and two children. She has practiced yoga for over 25 years and has been teaching for 8. She holds a 200 hour certification through National Yoga Alliance. In addition, she has taken extensive trainings with Boston’s Ame Wren, as well as workshops with Coral Brown, Seane Corn, and Tias Little to name a few. She also holds a certificate from Bodhi and Mind Yoga’s cancer-informed teacher training, which provides free yoga to women in any stage of breast cancer treatment and recovery. She is currently obsessed with learning everything about yoga philosophy, alignment and anatomy, and often brings this knowledge to her classes. She encourages students to listen to their bodies while practicing yoga, and encourages the process of finding a fluid, inspirational, intuitive practice. Students love that she knows how to modify for beginners while keeping more advanced students challenged.
